Members' Events

Below you will find details of upcoming events and functions (bowling and social) for club members. The social side of our club is what makes it fun and friendly but also viable as our clubhouse is an expensive building to maintain.

Please support your club by coming to as many events as you can throughout the year. Scroll down for event information and dates for your diary.

Running Old Shrewsbury Bowling Club for all members to enjoy, takes a huge amount of money. The cost of the upkeep of the greens, grounds and building is ever increasing and, with more necessary, serious capital expenditure expected in 2026, it is as important as ever for you to support as many of the social events as possible. Keep checking this page regularly for forthcoming events.

The club is opening for some of the World Cup games - especially those where England is playing.

Anyone that wants to have a social roll up on the greens before the match can do so - usual time will be around 6.30pm - before kick-off, which is usually at 9pm. The bar will be open so we can make a night of it.

We have two televisions - the small one in the bar and a new larger one in the main room, so there's plenty of space to spread out. Keep an eye out for emails from Lesley which will tell you when the next match is and at what time.
